Sean Hannity is a brilliant host, and his viewers are “dying” to see the latest broadcast of his show. The host received the William F. Buckley award for media excellence, and someone got a big jealous. It seems like Fox News host are having a lot of problems with competitors. But, Hannity didn’t keep his mouth shut.
The Fox News host is known for his direct approach to things, and not everyone approves his point of views. Democrats are his worst enemies, but Hannity seems to be fine with having so many competitors around. The host is always speaking his mind which is why Democrats trash him in every way possible.
Remember how Hannity was also caught in a middle of a sexual harassment scandal? Democrats tried to use the same trick twice, but Bill O’Reilly was the only host that got kicked out. Hannity promised to employ the best attorneys in the country, and the “alleged” victim couldn’t do anything to put a dark dot on his name.
This time Hannity had to deal with a jealous colleague. New York Times writer Bret Stephens was too angry to stay away from the whole thing. He decided to “honor” Hannity with an article called “Sean Hannity Is No William F. Buckley.” Well, this was the worst thing he could ever do, and Hannity responded in his distinctive way.
“Thus, when Hannity peddles conspiracy theories about Seth Rich, the young Democratic National Committee staffer murdered in Washington last year, that’s an echo of John Birch. And so we reach the Idiot stage of the conservative cycle, in which a Buckle Award for Sean Hannity suggests nothing ironic, much less Orwellian, to those bestowing it, applauding it, or even shrugging it off,” Stephens wrote.
“For the first time in my life I partly agree with @BretStephensNYT I don’t deserve the WFB award. I also never deserved the 2 Marconis… Nor do I deserve the Radio Hall of Fame, Free speech awards from Talkers or the R&R tall host of the year awards I have won. Nor do I care,” tweeted Hannity in response.
What do you think about Hannity’s response? Would you add anything to it?
