Mass Firings At Veteran Affairs

President Donald Trump, with the help of his administration, has been trying to do everything they can to clean up the government. Under the former administration led by Barack Obama, it was a very big mess. Nothing was done with regards to what it could mean for the average American. They simply did not care about what was going on and that is why we have such a big problem right now. President Trump ran his campaign on the idea that he would clear out these government officials that are causing, and costing, us so much damage. Now we are seeing the results ring out in a very big way.

One of the government departments that had rampant misbehavior under the previous administration was that of the Veterans’ Affairs. One of the most important of all departments, and it was being run like a 6 year old’s lemonade stand. And that might be an insult to lemonade stands across the nation. They simply did not pay attention to the massive amounts fraud that were taking place and it showed. That is why the Trump administration has since then fired more than 500 employees working within the Veteran Affairs office.

The VA’s Secretary, David Shulkin, said that they have been working hard to cut down on the misbehavior that was present in years past. “Veterans and taxpayers have a right to know what we are doing to hold our employees accountable and make our personnel actions transparent,” he said in a statement. “Posting this information online for all to see, and updating it weekly, will do just that.”

Keep in mind that the number of firings have taken place in just 5 months, since Donald Trump became President. That is a huge step forward the department that has been having so much trouble as of late. Not only have they fired 526 employees, but they have also demoted more than 20 and suspended almost 200. This is amazing for the Trump administration and shows how much they care about our veterans.

What do you guys think of the firings that have taken place under the Trump administration?
